EAMA RSP Organizational Structure
Steering Committee, Chair – Chris Jewell, Collins & Jewell
The Steering Committee comprises the Chairs of each Working Group along with three at-large members. These manufacturers:
- Help set and approve the agenda for EAMA RSP meetings
- Oversee the planning of EAMA RSP activities and events
- Set the direction of EAMA RSP and review progress toward goals
Working Groups
Business-to-Business, Chair – Daniel Chaplin, Forge 41, Inc.
This group focuses on enhancing EAMA RSP members’ ability to support each other and on strengthening supply chains within Connecticut. The group researches and shares opportunities within the state and region for networking, matchmaking, and stronger business partnerships.
Plastics Program Development, Chair – Hannah Belmont, Westminster Tool
In this working group, EAMA RSP plastics manufacturers oversee a training curriculum tailored to their needs for entry level and other workers. The group also provides a forum for broader issues specifically affecting plastics companies in the region.
Workforce & Outreach, Chair – Jeff Dickey, The Lee Company
This working group examines and shares best practices to attract, retain, and develop employees and improve company culture. The group also helps ensure training providers in the region address the needs of EAMA RSP member companies.
Youth Pipeline, Co-Chairs – Willie Barber, General Dynamics/Electric Boat, Jessica van der Swaagh, SPIROL
EAMA RSP members have stated that their primary strategic priority is to expand the future manufacturing workforce pipeline. The group seeks to coordinate and build strong relationships with area high schools and sponsors and promotes events and activities for young people that build awareness of manufacturing as a career path. This workgroup also works to increase the capacity, improve consistency, strengthen curriculum, and enhance and expand work-based learning of EWIB’s Youth Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative (YMPI).
