  • Strengthening Connecticut’s Healthcare Workforce: A legislative Briefing was held on May 19, 2025 featuring an open forum of employer perspectives and an emphasis on collaborative solutions and state support for strengthening the healthcare talent pipeline. 
  • CT Insider article (5/14/25): “Opinion: CT must act now to save its health care workers” [paywall] co-authored by Eastern CT Healthcare Partnership (ECHP) Chair Diane Manning presents a unified call to action from the ECHP and other healthcare regional sector partnerships to “make sure this session ends with a win for health care workers, patients, and Connecticut’s future.”

The Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) is a non-profit agency mandated by the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 and supported by federal, state, and philanthropic funding. EWIB accomplishes its goals by coordinating a dedicated network of partners to implement programs and initiatives including three American Job Centers located in Montville, Willimantic, and Danielson.
