The CT Manufacturing Roadshow is stopping in Norwich, CT and welcomes area manufacturers, students, and educators!

The Explore Manufacturing Expo connects students (grades 7-12) with manufacturing employers in Eastern Connecticut. The event will deliver a variety of exciting career exploration opportunities to raise awareness and pique interest in the broad range of well-paying manufacturing careers.

When students meet manufacturers, good things happen! It makes sense, then, to create more opportunities for that. The Manufacturing Roadshow Series is designed to raise awareness and pique interest in the broad opportunities and well-paying, interesting, and modern careers now available in Connecticut manufacturing.

For manufacturers, the Roadshow offers the opportunity to raise awareness and create excitement around the broad career opportunities available in manufacturing.

For educators, the Roadshow offers your students a peek into the wide range of manufacturing career opportunities — in this case, right in their backyard. (Registration note: After you reserve YOUR ticket, you’ll be prompted to enter specifics about your school, # of students, etc.).

Event HIGHLIGHTS (more details tba soon):

~ Meet ‘n greet with local manufacturers

~ Innovation stations will offer HANDS-ON activities

~ ReadyCT will provide Oculus VR headsets that will offer career simulation, e.g., tools and operations

~ Take a deeper look into manufacturing career training and trajectories such as 3D printing, CNC Machining, and precision measurement.

~ The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) will show students how collaborative robots (cobots) are used and programmed in a manufacturing environment through hands-on demonstration
