EWIB has partnered with middle schools throughout the region to introduce manufacturing themed career exploration programming to generate early interest in manufacturing training and awareness of training opportunities as students progress into high school and beyond.
This program introduces a variety of manufacturing exposure activities including:
– Virtual reality skills training with TransfrVR
– Manufacturing employer career days and guest speaking events
– Field trips to manufacturing employers and local training providers.
– Partnering with the EASTCONN Mobile manufacturing lab to bring hands on experiences to students throughout the region.
