ECHP long-term regional impact objectives, include, but are not limited to:

  • Collective talent pipeline management (e.g., career awareness, youth engagement, healthcare education and skills training, and employee development and retention).
  • Targeted efforts to improve regional infrastructure (e.g., childcare) to benefit healthcare employers.
  • Improved awareness and access to regional support partner resources.
  • Business-to-business networking and sharing of best practices.
  • A unified regional voice for healthcare policy advocacy.

Business leaders define the partnership’s industry-driven agenda by setting actions, championing priorities, and driving outcomes and results.

Community partners from workforce development, economic development, education, and others play a critical role in advancing the priorities of the ECHP by working together to respond to the needs of industry members.

The Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) is a non-profit agency mandated by the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 and supported by federal, state, and philanthropic funding. EWIB accomplishes its goals by coordinating a dedicated network of partners to implement programs and initiatives including three American Job Centers located in Montville, Willimantic, and Danielson.
